Challenges

A challenge is not a competition - at least, not against others.
Consider it a challenge to your own creativity.

1. Forbidden Lands.
The site for this event is being held on the lovely Lady Juliane's land. Unfortunately, all is not safe here--tell us about the nasties in the "forbidden" part of her property.

2. Riddle Me This
Tell us a riddle. (Remember - nouns lie, adjectives tell the truth.)

3. Horse and Rider
This event is held in a land that is known for not only its valiant warriors, but also for its amazing horses. Tell us a tale of a horse and his rider.

4. Pic-To-Graph
Choose a picture and write a story/song/interpretive dance/whatever.
The pictures will be drawn Friday night (an incentive to come early!)

Bardic Circles

A Bardic Circle provides a chance for everyone who wants to share a performance to do so in a safe and supportive atmosphere. No one is out to "out-do" anyone else. Every performance is applauded, because it takes a certain amount of guts to sing or tell a story or recite poetry in front of strangers.

Especially if you've never done it before.

The Bardic Circles at the Roundhouse will be co-hosted by Robin McCauley and Brendan O Corraidhe. They'll keep things flowing and if necessary fill in the gaps. But it's your show, not theirs.

Lord Robin has hosted the Chalk Man Tavern at Pennsic for a Very Long Time Indeed, and is a working professional musician in the band Tara's Fire.

The Honorable Lord Brendan has been "doing bardic stuff" for Even Longer, If That Can Be Believed: He was a featured performer at the Twenty Year Celebration.
